Fxtm is a standard broker that offers all the expected features. I have traded news events here and while spreads jump, orders still fill promptly. Execution during high-impact news releases can be a bit erratic, but that is common across most brokers. I wouldn't discourage a friend from trying Fxtm, but I wouldn't push them either.
